Mesuring social and environmental impact in organisations: the case of TMB

The Catalan Association of Accounting and Management (ACCID) and the UPF Barcelona School of Management (UPF-BSM) have published "Mesura i gestió de l'impacte social de les organitzacions" (2021), the 32nd issue of the Revista de Comptabilitat i Direcció (Journal of Accounting and Management), which explains the conceptual bases of social impact and compiles some practical applications. The publication includes the case of Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB), whose social, economic and environmental impact was estimated at 2,400 million euros by the UPF-BSM last year.

In this respect, on 3 March at 6:30 pm, the ACCID Chair in Transparency and Control of the UPF-BSM is organising the conference "Measuring the social and environmental impact of organisations: the case of Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB)". 

The event, which can be followed in person at the Balmes Auditorium with prior registration or via streaming, will serve to present various methodologies for measuring and managing the social and environmental impact generated by companies, third sector organisations and public entities, among others.
