The GSK Chair of Health Economics at the UPF Barcelona School of Management aims to generate systematized knowledge on health economics and, in addition, to transfer this knowledge to the stakeholders involved in decision-making.
Among the activities planned, a discussion forum will be organized among experts on the purchase and financing model of medicines, called "I North Forum on Health Economics". In addition, a working document will be prepared with a summary of the debate, reflections and aspects dealt with in the "1st North Forum on Health Economics", in order to contribute to the transfer of knowledge on the topics discussed.
The objective of the Chair is to generate systematized knowledge on health economics.

Doctorate in Economic and Business Sciences from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Former director of the Centre for Research in Economics and Health (CRES). Director of the Master in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics (MESOL) (UPF-BSM) and of the International Master in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics (MESIOL) (UPF-BSM).

Online Master in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics
This offers professional and specialized training in health economics, economic evaluation, and management of health services and technologies, teaches how to apply the basic and fundamental aspects of the techniques and instruments for the economic evaluation of medicines and medical technologies through cost-effectiveness analysis, cost-utility analysis and cost-benefit analysis.
Postgraduate in Health Economics
This program is part of the Official Master's Degree in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics. The topic is oriented to health policy and management, with an emphasis on the economic evaluation of drugs and medical technologies, economics and financing policies, and their application to the health economics market (supply and demand).
Postgraduate in Pharmacoeconomics
This postgraduate course is part of the Official Master's Degree in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics. It is oriented towards the economic evaluation of medicines and medical technologies, economics and financing policies, and management of medicines in health services.
