UPF Barcelona School of Management (UPF-BSM) will, for the first time, host the award ceremony of the UPF-BSM Cultural Institution of the Year Award, a new distinction created to recognise institutions that place culture at the heart of public life as a driver of collective progress, social cohesion, and human development.
In this inaugural edition, the award is presented to the city of Guadalajara (Mexico), in recognition of its cultural leadership and its sustained commitment to a vision of culture as a tool for social transformation, international projection, and community building. This recognition fully aligns with UPF-BSM’s values and its commitment to fostering a more humanistic, ethical, and inclusive society.
The event will take place on Saturday, 24 January 2026, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the UPF-BSM Auditorium, and will conclude with an institutional cocktail reception.
The ceremony will bring together senior representatives of UPF-BSM along with leading figures from the cultural, academic, and institutional spheres. The programme will include the reading of the award’s merits, followed by an acceptance speech by Ms Verónica Delgadillo García, Mayor of Guadalajara. The presentation of the award and the closing of the event will be led by Mr Jaume Collboni, Mayor of Barcelona.
