Online meeting: Bookstores recommend

When

April 20, 4pm

Where

Online

The session will be held in Catalan

Four bookstores in Barcelona will recommend the essential readings for this International Book Day and will attend to the requests of the UPF-BSM community: from children's literature to political essays or contemporary classics, among others

As part of the International Book Day activities, the Culture Program of the UPF Barcelona School of Management organizes a virtual meeting with four bookstores in BarcelonaAlibriDocumentaLa Carbonera and La Central. In a year of uncertainty in the cultural sector, we are meeting again with booksellers to tell us how they have managed to go ahead and to help us analyze the world of books on the eve of the second International Book Day in pandemic.

"As a result of the lockdown we sold more books on philosophgy and psychoanalysis", said Marta Ramoneda, bookseller at La Central, during the alternative celebration that was prepared in Catalonia at July 2020 but, unfortunately, could not be held either.

Next Tuesday, April 20 at 4pm, we invite you to meet virtually with booksellers to listen their proposals and answer the requests of the UPF-BSM community: what book can we offer to a child who is just starting to read? How can we encourage reading to someone who is not very positive about it? Which contemporary classic is a must-have these days? Bookstores will answer.
