Novo-Nordisk Chair in Pharmacoeconomics and Health 

The Novo-Nordisk Chair in Pharmacoeconomics and Health at UPF - BSM aims to generate systematized knowledge on pharmacoeconomics and health, as well as transferring this knowledge to the different interest groups involved in decision-making.

Among planned activities, there will be an annual online course accredited by the Health Professions Commission entitled: "Clinical management and economic evaluation of medicines and medical technologies". The main objective of this course is to provide information and knowledge on relevant aspects in clinical management and economic evaluation of medicines and medical technologies, all within the framework of a continuously updating program for professionals in the clinical areas related to the objective of the chair. In addition, the Chair will offer grants for CatSalut professionals to study the Master in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics at UPF-BSM, directed by Prof. Jaume Puig Junoy and Prof. Carlos Campillo.

Objectives

The objective of the chair is to generate systematized knowledge on pharmacoeconomics and health in clinical areas related to diabetes:

  • Provide information and knowledge on relevant aspects of clinical management and economic evaluation of medicines and medical technologies. 
  • Transfer this knowledge to the different stakeholders involved in decision-making.

Doctorate in Economic and Business Sciences from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Former director of the Centre for Research in Economics and Health (CRES). Director of the Master in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics (MESOL) (UPF-BSM) and of the International Master in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics (MESIOL) (UPF-BSM).
