The UPF Barcelona School of Management program continues to earn recognition in this prestigious ranking, standing out for classroom diversity and leadership perception
The Executive MBA at the UPF Barcelona School of Management (UPF-BSM) has been included for the third consecutive year in the QS Executive MBA Ranking, which assesses the world’s top programs in executive education.
UPF-BSM is once again recognized as one of the leading business schools affiliated with a public university in both Spain and Europe. This year’s ranking is led by Saïd Business School (Oxford), followed by HEC (Paris), with IESE Business School (Spain) in third place.
“Being featured in such a prestigious ranking as QS with our Executive MBA is a major achievement for us, as it demonstrates not only the high quality of our teaching but also our practical approach—deeply connected to industry and society, and firmly focused on the future,” said José M. Martínez-Sierra, Director General of UPF-BSM.
The QS ranking, one of the most highly regarded international academic evaluations, assessed Executive MBA programs at a total of 232 business schools worldwide. The evaluation considered five key dimensions: career outcomes (20%), diversity (10%), employer reputation (30%), executive profile (15%), and thought leadership (25%).
In these categories, the UPF-BSM EMBA earned a score of 70.6 out of 100 in the classroom diversity category. Within this same dimension, the school scored particularly high in terms of female representation among students.
“This strong score in the diversity category reflects our institutional values—values we share with Pompeu Fabra University. Thanks to these solid principles, our EMBA program ranks among the global leaders in diversity and inclusion,” said José M. Martínez-Sierra.
Among the other dimensions evaluated, UPF-BSM also stood out in thought leadership, which refers to the institution’s academic reputation.
“The thought leadership category once again confirms that, as an institution, we are widely recognized and respected by academic entities around the world,” added José M. Martínez-Sierra.
