The UPF Barcelona School of Management launches three new official Masters in the areas of Supply Chain, Project Management and Big Data

Barcelona, May 15, 2023. The UPF Barcelona School of Management has announced three new programs to be launched in the next academic year, 2023-2024: the University Master in Data Analytics for Business, the University Master in Project Management and Change Culture, and the University Master in Supply Chain Management, Technology and Sustainability.The new Masters expand the School’s extensive range of programs, taking it to a total of 46, 28 of which are official university Masters and 14 of which are institutional qualifications. With the launch of the three new Masters, the UPF School of Management’s portfolio will now cover the areas of Accounting and Finance, Business Administration and Management, Communication, Journalism and Translation, Creativity and Technology, Economics, Management and Health Sciences, Human Resources, Law, Politics and Public Management, and Marketing and Branding.

José Manuel Martínez-Sierra, the Director General of UPF-BSM highlighted that: “The aim of these Masters is to update our range of programs, catering for the growing need for professionalization in areas such as Big Data, Change Culture and Sustainability. Moreover, they give our students access to some of the highest paid professions in the greatest demand. Our mission is to train the leaders of the future, with cross-cutting values that underpin our School, including innovation, equality and sustainability, and contributing towards building a better world”. The classes of the three new Masters run by UPF-BSM, which is accredited by EQUIS and AMBA, two accreditations that certify the School’s academic excellence and confirm its place among the most prestigious institutions in the world, will begin on October 16, 2023, and will run until the end of June 2024.

 

 

University Master in Data Analytics for Business

 

Ana Freire, the Vice Dean of Social Impact and Academic Innovation at UPF-BSM, will be the Director of the new University Master in Data Analytics for Business, which focuses on the analysis of big data, artificial intelligence, project management, and improving digital solutions, among other competencies.

In addition, thanks to UPF-BSM’s agreement with Microsoft, students have the option to take an elective course to prepare for and gain free access to the examination to obtain Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification.

The program is primarily designed for students with a qualification in economics, business administration and management, marketing, mathematics, physics or engineering, but it is also open to professionals from other fields who are looking to expand their knowledge.

 

 

University Master in Project Management and Change Culture

 

Meanwhile, Marc Oliveras, the Executive Director for Deanship Projects at UPF-BSM, will direct the University Master in Project Management and Change Culture, which will equip students with the techniques and tools required to oversee the organization and leadership of successful projects.

This program enables students to prepare for the examination to get the PMP professional certification of the Project Management Institute (PMI), the most widely respected accreditation at a professional level.

The program is designed for professionals in the field of business management.

 

Supply Chain Management, Technology and Sustainability

 

Last but not least, Oriol Montanyà, the Deputy Director General of the UPF-BSM, will head the University Master in Supply Chain Management, Technology and Sustainability, which will give students the technical and strategic knowledge they need to design and execute all the processes involved in a value chain, including two blocks that are essential for modern supply chain management: how technology can add real value, and sustainability as an opportunity.

 

The Master is designed for professionals from the world of business management and engineering, or for other profiles who want to lead supply chain management strategies.
