What is the social value that a major hospital such as the Clínic brings to the city of Barcelona? What impact does its activity have on citizens, patients, users, and healthcare professionals?
The UPF Barcelona School of Management (UPF-BSM), in collaboration with the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, has carried out the study The Integrated Social Value of the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, with the aim of rigorously, systematically, and monetarily measuring the full set of social benefits perceived by the hospital’s main stakeholders, beyond the usual economic indicators. This value has been quantified and expressed in monetary terms, offering a useful tool for decision-making, the improvement of internal policies, and accountability to citizens and public administrations.
The study will be presented on Wednesday, 4 February, at 10 a.m., at the UPF-BSM Auditorium (Balmes St. 132–134), as part of the Sustainable Clínic Week. The event will feature the participation of the study’s authors, institutional representatives from both UPF-BSM and the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, as well as other prominent figures from the healthcare sector.
