Lifelong Learning Master's Degree in Medical Communication for the Pharmaceutical/Healthcare Industry
The Lifelong Learning Master’s Degree in Medical Communication for the Pharmaceutical/Healthcare Industry was created to address the growing demand for specialized medical communication professionals. Developed in collaboration between the pharmaceutical industry and UPF-BSM, the program trains highly qualified talent aligned with real industry needs, filling a clear gap in both education and the job market.
Significant investments have been made by Barcelona and, more broadly Catalunya, to bring Research & Development opportunities around this area with several pharmaceutical companies having fully established their presence. However, there remains a clear gap in specialized training in medical communication. Traditional career pathways are limited in visibility, and existing academic programs do not sufficiently prepare candidates for the specific needs of the pharmaceutical and medical communications industry.
The Lifelong Learning Master's Degree in Medical Communication for the Pharmaceutical/Healthcare Industry addresses this gap by offering industry-aligned training, practical experience, and professional networking, directly responding to the current and future demand for skilled medical communicators and supporting the growth of the healthcare sector.
