Master in Tax Consultancy


The Master in Tax Consultancy follows an overall case study during the course of the academic year during which content is presented and applied and all the taxes that affect the company are analysed in detail, all in a very practical way.

The objective of this method is to combine theoretical knowledge with practical expertise through a real-case scenario that reflects the plurality of issues and causes that arise in business praxis allowing the systematic study of the set of taxes which the company is subject to.

The classroom sessions combine the presentation of the theory with approaches, discussions and case resolutions based on real-life experiences.

Students will always be actively involved. Regarding the theory and preparation of each session, students must compile and study the documentation related to the subject: regulations, jurisprudence, doctrine and selected comments. Students will have to propose the solutions to practical cases that they deem most suitable, applying the acquired knowledge.

As a result of the collaboration agreement signed with the Spanish Association of Tax Consultants (AEDAF), during classroom sessions students of the Master in Tax Consultancy have the right to access the private area of the association's website, in order to consult the different databases (

Notwithstanding the bibliography recommendation, basic documentary material such as court resolutions, judgments, etc. will be provided online for students. 


In order to obtain the degree, as well as passing the final project, students must also attend at least 80% of the classes, pass the continuous evaluation and the corresponding exams at the end of each module. The exam result will represent 70% of the grade and the continuous evaluation will represent 30% of the final grade of the program.


Face-to-face masters programs, postgraduate courses and short courses at UPF Barcelona School of Management combine active student participation with the teaching of theoretical and practical concepts. This type of learning focuses on discussing and resolving case studies in the classroom and applying the knowledge acquired to real-life situations. Face-to face programs use Aula Global, the virtual campus, to maintain continuity between classroom sessions.
