The Chair for Future Scenarios for Retail, directed by Josep-Francesc Valls, and the Mercadona Chair of Circular Economy, headed by Carolina Luis Bassa, are joining forces and organising the competitive challenge "How face-to-face grocery shops can make e-commerce profitable".
During two sessions, held on 2 and 23 November, from 3pm to 5:30pm, UPF Barcelona School of Management (UPF-BSM) students from different disciplines will address the challenges of the food retail sector and propose solutions to make e-commerce profitable in the field, based on the concepts learned.

After a first session in which the guidelines of the challenge will be explained and the working groups will be created, on the 23rd they will have to present their conclusions before a panel formed by Valls and Luis Bassa, as well as Susana Domingo, Director of the Academic Department of Business & Management Strategy of the UPF-BSM, on the academic side, and Manel Romero, Director General of Condis; Roberto Gómez, Director General of Ametller Origen; and Daniel Viana, CEO of VTEX, on the business side.
