Chair on Economics, Business and Thought

Presentation

This Chair was created in 2019 with the aim of finding out the factors that promote the competitiveness of EURAM, the Mediterranean Arc Euroregion. This Euroregion includes five territories from three different countries (Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, the Valencian Country, Andorra and Northern Catalonia), with very significant economic influence, as they account for 37% of the Spain's total GDP.

Objectives

  • To perform studies that make it possible to find out about the economy and business in the Mediterranean Arc Euroregion (EURAM)
  • To understand the factors that may promote the region's competitiveness.
  • To convey the reflections extracted from the studies to the various interest groups.

Activities in the Academic Year 2019/2020 

Five articles on EURAM in CONCRET, a journal published by Institut Ignasi Villalonga d’Economia i Empresa:

  3. “Impacte de la Quarta Revolució Industrial en el transport i la logística de l’EURAM” [Impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on transport and logistics in EURAM] – Luz Parrondo, UPF Barcelona School of Management.
