Microsoft needs no introduction. Founded in 1975, is one of the world's most recognised technology companies and it would be no exaggeration to say that the vast majority of businesses and households around the world make daily use of the personal computers, software, consumer technology products and other services that have been developed by this US tech giant.

Within Microsoft's strategic lines, its interest in the field of education stands out, as evidenced by its innovative and collaborative drive with institutions, universities, governments and education systems worldwide. Given its central and strategic importance in the public and private sectors, as well as for society as a whole, Manuel Abellán Serna, Industry Executive Higher Education at Microsoft Spain, will be the speaker at the second session of the «Leaders at UPF-BSM» conference series. 

Scheduled for 15 November at 5pm, the session will include the participation of the Director General of the UPF Barcelona School of Management (UPF-BSM), José M. Martínez-Sierra, who will introduce Abellán's presentation, structured in four sections: presentation of Microsoft; the projects of Higher Education division; reflections on leadership and public-private collaborations of Microsoft.

The session will be held in person in the Versa Room of the UPF-BSM –prior registration required– and will last approximately 2 hours. After Abellán's lecture, there will be a Q&A session.
