Six UPF-BSM master’s degrees ranked among the best in Spain according to El Mundo’s ranking

The UPF Barcelona School of Management (UPF-BSM) appears once again in the ranking of 250 master’s degrees published annually by the newspaper El Mundo, with a total of six programmes in the Top 5 of their category recognized by this classification.

This achievement adds to the school’s recent inclusion in the ‘Financial Times Executive Education Custom Ranking 2026’, for the fourth consecutive year; in the ‘Financial Times Masters in Finance Ranking 2026’, in which UPF-BSM entered for the first time this year; and in the Positive Impact Rating, where the school has been recognized as ‘Transformative’.

In El Mundo’s ranking, the Master’s Degree in Public and Social Policies at UPF-BSM is positioned as the best master’s in Spain in the field of Political Science and Public Administration for the second consecutive year, holding first place in its category. Delivered in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University (United States), it is directed by José Manuel Martínez-Sierra and Rodrigo Cetina. “Several evaluation agencies consider it one of the best degrees in its field,” explains El Mundo.

“These results confirm the well-done work and the quality of our programmes, which place us, at a national level, among the best in their respective fields. The Master’s in Creative Writing at UPF-BSM, directed by professors José Maria Micó and Jorge Carrión, ranks third in Spain in the field of Humanities. “It maintains links with publishing houses such as Candaya or Galaxia Gutenberg, as well as a fluid relationship with prestigious literary agencies and imprints from the Planeta and Penguin Random House groups,” details El Mundo.

The Master’s in Marketing at UPF-BSM, directed by professors Carolina Luis Bassa and Alexandra Theben, is fourth in Spain in this category. El Mundo highlights that the programme includes “professional internships in top-tier companies and has a strong connection with businesses.”

The Master’s Degree in Law Practice and Advocacy at UPF-BSM, directed by Professor Ramon Ragüés, ranks fifth in Spain in the category of master’s degrees in law practice. “Its content is developed together with the Barcelona Bar Association and six prestigious law firms from the Catalan capital,” notes El Mundo.

The Master’s in Finance and Banking at UPF-BSM, directed by professors Xavier Brun and Oscar Elvira, ranks fifth in Spain in the field of Banking and Financial Markets. “It includes internships in leading institutions and is accredited through recognition by the CNMV (MiFID II) and its connection with the CFA,” explains El Mundo.

The Master’s in Documentary Filmmaking at UPF-BSM, directed by Eva Vila, ranks fifth in Spain in the field of Audiovisual Communication. This programme “is an international benchmark for its quality and innovation; evidence of its impact is that it has already produced more than 35 documentaries,” highlights El Mundo.
