During the trip, participants will see a global financial centre from the inside, just as it is going through historic changes due to Brexit, which will transform the economic and financial fabric not only of the United Kingdom, but also all of Europe.
Banking, consulting and financial professionals will tell you about real-life cases of leading companies. They and ex-alumni from our institution will share with you experiences and practical information about working life in the City.
London is Europe's leading financial centre and one of the main financial centres in the world, alongside New York. The sector directly employs 2.3 million people in the country and is its largest economic sector.
The most important financial institutions in the world operate in the British capital, from Goldman Sachs to JP Morgan and HSBC, through investment management giants such as Blackrock, Blackstone and JP Morgan Asset Management.
The country is also a leader in innovation and development of new technologies. British Fintech companies have become leaders in the sector over the last decade. The UK has some of the best universities in the world and attracts professionals of all nationalities who want to develop their careers.
According to the latest data, 42% of workers in the British Fintech sector come from abroad.

Who is it for?
This program is particularly aimed at students on the FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING programs, as it supplements their training, adding an international component to the academic experience gained in our classrooms.
It is also open to all students and ex-alumni of UPF Barcelona School of Management who are interested in learning through real-life cases about international companies in the finance, banking, tech and innovation sectors, and who also want to see first-hand how Brexit is changing Europe's economic and financial fabric.
